One of the symbols of Rome, the XVIII century Trevi Fountain is undoubtedly the most spectacular and well-known fountains of the Capital and is a display of the Acqua Vergine; designed by Nicoḷ Salvi, it was recently brought to its original splendour after a renovation that lasted for several years.
By public transportation: from the Termini station, take the subway A line for two stops until Barberini Fontana di Trevi, then walk down via del Tritone until crossing via della Stamperia on your left. Follow via della Stamperia until Piazza di Trevi. The walk is just slightly longer than 600 metres.
If you don't want to walk that muchs, take bus 175 from the Termini Station and get of at Tritone/Fontana di Trevi stop. This way you will shorten your walk by about 300 metres.
